Award Rubric Criteria

 

  • Nomination and recommendation letters should strive to address the criteria below. The first criterion will be tabulated by the Awards Committee.

 

  • Each section of criteria is worth up to 25 points for a possible maximum total of 100 points for the nominee. 

 

  • Only one award will be presented.

 

Rose Frolik Award Criteria:

 

  1. Involvement in UNOPA:
    1. Current UNOPA member and in good standing. 
    2. 5 years or more of consecutive membership. (Not including current year)
    3. Must have served on the Board within the last 5 years. (Not including current year)
      1. A member in good standing is one who attends meetings, professional development and other UNOPA offerings, and participates in the annual Parking Lot Fundraiser. (25 max points) 
        1. Attends UNOPA meetings & PD offerings: 10 pts. 
        2. UNOPA Board Member in last 5 years: 5 pts.
        3. UNOPA Committee Member in last 5 years: 5 pts.
        4. Participates in parking lot fundraiser: 5 pts.
  2. Leadership Characteristics: Rose Frolik felt that a leader has two important characteristics: That of going somewhere and the ability to persuade others to follow. Examples of those are elevated expectations of self and of others, ability to overcome obstacles or setbacks, tolerance, loyalty, diplomacy, etc. (25 max points)
    1. Member is going somewhere: 1-13 pts
    2. Member’s ability to persuade others to follow: 1-12 pts.
  3. Professionalism: Consistently achieving exacting standards, both in the work you do and the way you behave. Professionalism helps in the achievement of high-quality results, while inspiring others. Some characteristics of professionalism are competence, knowledge, conscientiousness, integrity, respect, emotional intelligence, appropriateness, and confidence. (25 max points)
    1. Professionalism in work: 1-12 pts.
    2. Demonstrates Integrity: 1-13 pts.
  4. Personal Characteristics: Serves as a good example for others which includes enthusiasm, flexibility, cooperation, energy, kindness, good cheer, dignity, friendship, understanding, etc. (1-25 max points)
