Floyd S. Oldt Presidential Boss of the Year

Award Rubric Criteria

 

  • Nomination and recommendation letters should strive to address the criteria below.  

 

  • Each section of criteria is worth up to 25 points for a possible maximum total of 100 points for the nominee. Nominee must have a minimum score of 80 points to win. 

 

  • Only one award will be presented.

 

Boss of the Year Award Criteria:

 

  1. Full-time employee of the University of Nebraska who has an active UNOPA member in their department. (25 points)
  2. Outstanding skills in employee supervision and interpersonal relationships (25 max points)
    1. Employee supervision: 1-15 pts.
    2. Interpersonal relationships: 1-10 pts.
  3. Management, administrative, and supervisory responsibility (25 max points)
    1. Management responsibility: 1-7 pts.
    2. Administrative responsibility: 1-8 pts.
    3. Supervisory responsibility: 1-10 pts.
  4. Supportive of employees being involved in professional organizations and professional development. (25 max points)
    1. Supportive of organizations: 1-10 pts.
    2. Supportive of attending PD: 1-15 pts.
